Savanna studios is a unique program that is only offered in the Landscape Architecture program at Iowa State University.  This program is a semester of traveling with landscape professors to sites, national and state parks. Between staying in hotels and camping, students took four classes in LA implementation, Construction, Theory, and Drawing.  All these classes were on the road. This program is a great way to be exposed to the wide range of the profession and engage in hands-on learning. It also provided a great community bonding experience with colleagues and provided a high standard of healthy competition within our learning process.
