When I graduated High School I knew I wanted to go to ISU. I remember that I didn't even fill out any other applications. I don't particular know why I was so drawn to ISU, but I just remember the excitement of moving out of my parents roof. The excitement of finally being on my own, to come home whenever I wanted, to ignore whoever I wanted, to date who ever I wanted, to have sex with who ever I wanted. This was a taste of freedom that gave me the drive to finish school.
Now-today-this moment, I have a degree, a mountain of student debt, $350 in my checking account, a quarter tank of gas in my crappy car, a loaf of bread cooking, and the the promise of a new chapter in my life beginning.
Yesterday I finally found a great launching pad up in the twin cites. The rent is great, the location is great, and the new roommate seems great. I signed a check and put down the security deposit and first month's rent. I can't help but feel that I may have took this step to soon. Perhaps, I impulsively made the jump, but then I think if not now, then when? Then I talked to myself and said-
Zach- Moving to the Twin Cites gives you opportunities, career-wise and personality-wise. You will grow as person and this makes sense as the next step. Stop worrying! You will be fine and this is going to be great.
So, I guess this is a post that makes me feel both super excited and super anxious, while needing a bit of luck, some planning, and the right people to fall into my life.
